Start putting in for vacation days on May 4, because that’s the day that Dawn of Andromeda will be released on Steam! DoA has been in Early Access since December 2016, but now the devs at GreyWolf (and publisher Iceberg Interactive) have laid in a course for the full release.
We’ve covered this game a lot, but for those of you too lazy to click a link, DoA is a real-time, pausable space 4X game. So far, it is listed on Steam with a “mostly positive” aggregate review and it seems pretty intriguing based on our time with it. Plus, GreyWolf is promising a bunch of fixes and features for the launch, including:
- Eras – Unique scenarios, each with a pre-designed galaxy and background stories which you can play as one of the existing factions, each with their own victory conditions, traits, challenges and ongoing conflicts and relationships
- New animated cutscenes for each major race
- New Victory/End screens with statistics and extra information
- New (random) events
- More balanced gameplay mechanics
- Many bug fixes
Of course, there’s much more coverage to come, including our review, so keep your scanners tuned in here at eXplorminate to learn more!
