This was a slower week in the 4X, strategy, and tactics gaming world, but here you go!
This Week’s News:
Paradox Interactive released Stellaris’ Dev Diary #202, “Nemesis Ship Set and Art Direction” and, you guessed it, it shows off the upcoming Nemesis ship set and art direction. We’re thinking that this expansion and patch are pretty close to release at this point.
Amplitude Studios both announced that the upcoming story DLCs, Dark Matter for Endless Space 2, and Monstrous Tales for Endless Legend, have been delayed until the second half of March 2021.
Furthermore, they released the next Humankind Feature Focus, #10: Art of War, showcasing the tactical battles of Humankind and the lessons learned from their previous terrestrial 4X game, Endless Legend. You can see it here:
Ray Fowler continues to improve the already-excellent Remnants of the Precursors, releasing Beta 2.15. With it, players now have the last of the diplomatic improvements, an improved spy report, a new post-combat results screen, and many more improvements and additions.
Goldhawk Interactive posted a February Update for its upcoming Xenonauts, due to hit early access in March. In it, they’ve outlined the changes they’re making in response to the demo that hit the Steam Game Festival, and what their plans are to improve the game for Early Access. Mohawk Games continues to plug away at Old World, reaching v 0.1.47704. The changelog, found here, shows many balance changes, art additions, UI upgrades, and as usual, more events. If you want a quick breakdown of some of the highlight changes to Old World since release, look here:
