A Fortnight in News

  • Interstellar Space: Genesis v1.1.3 Released: Quite frankly, a gigantic list of quality of life updates, fixes, updates, and more. Of note, the research tree got a very nice aesthetic overhaul, with new icons, better spacing, and the like. IS:G is really shaping up to meet its full potential. Now if we can only see some upgrades to the galaxy view and get those asteroid upgrade icons updated, it’d be time to see a lot more content! We’re thirsty!
  • Stellaris’ Summer Update: Paradox Studios took a moment to let the fanbase know that there were be a moratorium on dev diaries through July and that there’s no “return date” for them. However, they do hint at future updates coming later this year.
  • Secret Government Released into Early Access: A grand strategy game wherein the focus is influencing governments from behind the scenes, Secret Government has debuted into Early Access and looks to have some potential. We’ll be keeping an eye on it!
  • Godking “Mountain Giants” Update Released: Among many other changes, Godking received an overhaul to the “Manage Armies” UI, received many new combat sounds, implemented a scalable user interface, and much more. They even added an item in honor of eXplorminate, the eXplorminatus Spyglass! How awesome!
  • Civilization VI June 2020 Update: Civilization VI just received a large update with quite a few balance changes, a couple of new wonders, and a lot of balancing to the battle royale “Red Death” version of the game.
  • Godhood “Tenets and Traditions” Update Released: A huge update to Abbey Games’ god game, the “Tenets and Traditions” update has overhauled a lot of the progression systems in Godhood, making the game flow much better. Godhood has really transformed from a game that was full of promise and short on execution, to finally realizing a lot of that promise.
  • Wildermyth Receives v.23 “Triss Thornfire” Update: A game that Rob has been enamored with since he found it, Wildermyth has seen many, many updates over the past few months, but this one starts to overhaul the UI, which was one of his only complaints. The HUD remains to be overhauled, but the rest of it is really shaping up. If you enjoy the idea of a story-generating tactical RPG where your characters grow, develop interesting physical traits, and develop relationships over time, then you should have picked this up already. It’s a true gem.
  • Also, in a new partnership with the Turn-Based Tactics Steam Group, we’ll be posting their weekly update links here, too:
