For me it would be great if you attached a transcript of your discussion. I am a 4X fan from way back, which may explain why it is easier to scan a written document. I would think using one of the software transcribers without any editing would be sufficient for me and easy for you guys.
In any case, keep up the good work. And thanks for all this!
I don’t think this is realistically feasible… and also to be done weekly… unless someone proves me wrong?
George, if you can find us some software or other technology that can automatically transcribe audio into text, that would be great. We would be very interested in that. Otherwise, we just don’t have the time or resources to do that by hand 🙁
You can leave me an hour long message on voice mail. I’m sure Siri will transcribe that correctly!! /sarcasm
Actually, the number given in the Stellaris DD regarding the portion of the player base on a 32-bit system was less than 1%, rather than less than 10%. 10% would actually be pretty big! I doubt they’d be willing to cut off that many of their users.
thanks for another great show!
@george Schelz – Thank for listening, but I doubt we’d add notes. That’s another layer of complexity to would need to be dealt with during this time where we don’t have all that much time.
@BTAxis – Good, I felt that 10% was high, but with sales (my guess) in the millions, even 1% is a lot and the loud minority (of games) can sound like 10% or more.
Yep, even 1% is a lot of players. That said I think we’re well past the point where software can afford to no longer support 32-bit. The price is low enough.
No argument there.
is posting without login now disabled?
I don’t know. Maybe a change that was put in finally went through. Who da hell know with WordPress.
Good to see the comments are working again. Has anyone tried logging on through Twitter or Facebook?
commenting without login doesn’t work anymore.
@troy i’m using twitter as login, so it works.
Thanks for letting us know! Kinda crazy the way WordPress has this working now.
