Join us as we trawl through cool news from the world of 4X and strategy.
This is not your usual news bulletin (we have plenty of that elsewhere!), more just talking about things that caught our eye.

So, what are Sundays for?
Sundays are for:
- finally trying the Vietnamese restaurant you have been eyeing for a year
- giving your dwelling a thorough clean (good for ten minutes until the dog deposits some more hair)
- remembering we have a 4x database, with alot of entries, and then realising there is quite a bit of updating to do!
- playing Merchants and Marauders, Age of Wonders 4, Absolum (The Underking is annoying me). Also, *progress* in Terra Invicta.
- making bread for some of us:

So, thoughts and news this week.
- 9 Kings, which is a fun and fun sized game, is on sale. I recommend you buy it!
- I was going through the Discord, doing some house admin, and realised we have quite a few developers. Shout out to the developers, we love you! Our latest arrival is dotoking, with the game Cosmopolis-4X. Check it out here.
- Astro Protocol (developer Zeikko is on the Discord) is getting some attention. Woohoo!
- Also on Discord, I realised we often use terminology on the assumption the other participants know exactly what we mean. It leads to a degree of talking past each other. So, I ask you, what do you understand by the following terms:
- theme
- mechanics
- gameplay loop
- Lastly, what do we even mean by “dlc” and why should you care?
So, what games are you playing this week?
I am playing Merchants and Marauders (pirates sunk me, arrggh!), Absolum (I can reliably get to the UnderKing, but he continues to elude defeat!), Terra Invicta (control point huh?), AoW4 single and multiplayer (ongoing pbem organised by Doubt).
Enjoy, and keep exploring!
