Hello, I am Aoiti, the Developer of Imperial Ambitions.
I have been working on Imperial Ambitions for last 5 years, and finally glad to see it mature and release.I started working on it with an idea to fuse my favorite aspects of games of my child hood; Civilization, Imperialism 2 and Heroes of Might and Magic.
At the end, Imperial Ambitions turned out to be very different from their spiritual ancestors.
Now we have features that no game in 4x genre has tried. The Characters not only interact with the player, they also interact with each other, turning Imperial Ambitions into a social simulation, besides a game.
In Imperial Ambitions, another aspect that I wanted to emphasize has been the dark side of empire building. Instead of white-washing our history, I believe embracing, to learn from it. That is why I included option to perform the acts against human rights, such as slave raids, massacres, discrimination…
Finally, Imperial Ambitions, tries a completely novel idea of playing 4X game through agents, not UI. Most actions that you can do in 4X, are now done through agents, ranging from establishing trade routes, to negotiating peace. Agents infact, represent smaller puzzles, each in their own way. Ore discovery, establishing trade, even replantation of resources has its own mini-puzzle game, but seamlessly made part of the game.

eXplorminate thoughts:
At first sight, this looks remarkably like Sid Meier’s’ Colonization, and indeed that is cited as a primary influence, but really just a starting point. Aoiti has taken that as a start point and added so much more. Don’t be fooled by the cuddly graphics, this looks set to be a real brain burner of a game.
