A Fortnight in News

  • Civilization 6 Gets “Season Pass”: Through six premium add-on packs over the next year, the Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass offers eight new civilizations, nine new leaders, and a variety of new gameplay content, including six new game modes. These add-on packs will release on a bimonthly basis from May 2020 to March 2021.
  • Stellaris‘ 4th Anniversary and v2.7: Stellaris reached its fourth anniversary and in doing so, released the “Wells” update, which improved some of the graphics, added some new content, and of course added some bugs. To fix those, v2.7.2 has already been released.
  • Galactic Civilizations 3‘s 5th Anniversary, v4.0, and ‘Worlds in Crisis’ DLC Now Available: In Worlds in Crisis, you will encounter a host of new world events with ideological choices that you will have to resolve. Several new planet types and over a dozen new planet features also await you, breathing new life into the game for old-time Galactic Civilizations players while offering exciting options for people picking up the game for the first time.

The free v4.0 update adds huge performance increases and makes vast visual improvements to the game’s planets, both on the surface and from orbit. Thanks to the numerous feedback we’ve received from fans, a lengthy list of balance and AI improvements are also in v4.0. To see what’s new, check out the complete changelog for the update at the bottom of the post!
  • Pax Nova’s First Post-Release Update, v1.0.01 Released: The post-launch updates in Pax Nova haven’t been coming as quickly as many of you (and us) would have liked. Supposedly, Grey Wolf has hit a couple of ill-timed personal roadblocks, but those have been resolved now.
  • Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars Gets an August 28th Release Date: Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Palindrome Interactive announced that Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars will launch on 28th August for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Rob is pretty enamored with it and did a recent video or two of it here:
