uhh, what? troy seems to have strange sound again 🙁

Joe Kundlak 7 years ago

Yeah, this week’s sound is equally bad for Troy as well as Nate…

BTAxis 7 years ago

Halfway through Troy’s sound fubared itself even more so it sounded like Troy’s dad took over or something.

Joe Kundlak 7 years ago

Yep, pitch change 🙂 Manly Troy for the win!!!

That’s Biff!!!

Boom operator was drunk again I guess….

I appreciate the show but why would you knowingly upload if it is that broken? Just say we had technical difficulties for this week and cu in next. From the start to the end the sound has issues and I’ve spent 3G just to download this.

eXplorminate 7 years ago

We’re really sorry about that. Last week spiraled out of control, we didn’t get a chance to re-record. We’re going to be changing up our production and post-production methods, so, please hang in there a bit longer.

eXplorminate 7 years ago

Like we said at the beginning of the show, we just don’t have time to rerecord shows right now. We want to, but real life is encroaching on our gaming time. We do apologize and we are looking for ways to not repeat these problems.

That chair has turned out to be a real monkey’s paw… you wish to get rid of an occasional squeak and instead you get so much more….
Anyways, you have our support…

I have to say I passed on this episode due to the sound issues. I listen to halfway with the sound issues last time. First world problem of course and nothing compared to Troy’s heavy week.
I don’t mind at all if you guys need to drop a week if it doesn’t come together due to RL reasons. You dedication is commendable, but games and in extension this podcast are a luxury after all.

It’s a routine thing. Every time you stop a routine, it gets harder to start up.
At least that’s how it is for me.
We’ll make up for it. Promise.

CustodianV131 7 years ago

I can definitely understand the routine thing, that is very true. Still if need be do take a break.
Also I hate to break it to you, but you’ve nothing to make up for. Technical difficulties happen and you don’t always have ways to fix that or time to rerecord it (Which often doesn’t lead to fun episodes anyway). Like the great Greek philosophers said: Shit happens.
Hmmm now I think about it, what might make up for this horrible injustice done to your listeners is you singing everything for a full episode, so we can really enjoy that sound quality.
Of course we will all listen to that in its entirety… 😛
Its all good and I look forward to the next episode.

It’s four hours till ATG releases and they still don’t have a price up. Pretty sure it’s $29, but still … this is kinda weird.

Sorry for loss Troy, sounds like it’s been a rough time for you. I hope it gets better. I think if you guys are upfront with a post or 5 min podcast saying you have to miss a week, people would understand. You guys do a lot for this site and community.
Appreciate the podcasts as always, hopefully the audio issues are resolved for next week. Thank you!

Troy,
Sorry about your recent losses and tragedies. Thinking good thoughts for you, man.

SilasOfBorg 7 years ago

My sympathies Troy, sounds like a brutal week.
Still looking forward to Nate’s rant. 🙂

Its coming… Promise!

Boris 7 years ago

My condolences to Troy.

Qubix 7 years ago

Hey Troy, my deepest sympathies. Hope you’re doing ok. Agree with other comments above, if you guys need to take a podcasting break from time to time, please do it, no worries. Regarding Nate’s comment, I do totally understand how easy it is to fall out of a routine, but hey if you need to take a rest from time to time due to real life stuff, don’t sweat it.

Paulo Marques 7 years ago

I’ve been thinking I should make a comment about how much I appreciate the show. It would fit better in an anniversary, but I feel it’s a good time now.
Because I know I’ve probably came here more often to complain about a minor thing and not to be positive; it’s a bit the nature of the net to just consume without saying anything if everything’s peachy. And yep, I’ve listened to every single MP3 you put out and I’m still here, so you’re definitely doing something right.
I can’t really give you a lot of good objective feedback on the features, but they’re fine. Maybe I’ll look into what you’re talking about, maybe I’ll have my hands full. I grinded you a bit about saying the “same” thing about Steam every week, but only because it became repetitive (to me) at the time.
You’re doing a valuable thing here, if someone disagrees, well, so be it. There’s got to be more who appreciate your effort.
Despite this episode’s audio.

Paulo Marques 7 years ago

That, and I hope Troy’s ok.

eXplorminate 7 years ago

Thank you Paolo. We really appreciate that. Sometimes it feels like we’re shouting into the void, and that can be disheartening, but when you and our other listeners engage with us, we appreciate it. Even if we don’t always agree.
