Just want to say I thought Nate was making good points about the ongoing Epic debacle and his change of heart about Galyonkin. I dont think he was flogging a dead horse. I think Epic is being epicly mismanaged by whomever is making the decisions at this time.
GOG on the other hand are showing what may possibly be the real future with their Galaxy 2.0 Universal Launcher. From what they say it is being developed as an open source gamer friendly platform to which other platforms can also link. I hope they can succeed.
Epic have been choosing an aggressive strategy of price wars and exclusivity; whereas GOG are choosing a strategy of openness and inclusivity. Personally I think GOG is on the right track.

I’m glad someone saw where I’m coming from. I know what I said can be taken as some kind of an attack, but it wasn’t meant as one. I was just making an observation.

Isn’t GOG proposing one of the things that Epic was just being flamed for doing? To move all your friends lists together means you will need to give it access to your other accounts.
And it still isn’t going to function as an updating service for any game not purchased on the GOG platform.
As for combining your library, it seems as if all it is really doing is moving shortcuts into its own launcher. I have a fence on my desktop for that already, I’m not sure I need a program doing that. I love GOG and all, but it all seems pretty superfluous.
I just basically don’t see the point. I will wait and see what they have though, maybe it will turn out great, I just don’t have any real expectations of it being anything worth being excited about.

I don’t think so, unless I misread it. I believe gog is doing cross-platform on their games.
