The next couple of shows will have some sound and pacing issues, so hang in there. Troy and I will get the quality of the sound back to Rob’s level of perfection ASAP.

I actually bounced off DoW2 for its lack of base building, among other things. When playing DoW2 I felt like I was playing an ARPG, where each mission was about cleaning out the map bit by bit. I preferred the more traditional skirmish RTS setup of the original game.
Then again, I was definitely a younger man when I played Dark Crusade, and other than Supreme Commander I haven’t really touched any RTSes since. Maybe I’ve definitively moved on to other things by now.

Good show. But… Troy cannot say “bye” at the end of show. That was Rob’s sign off phrase. Lol. 🙂
Should have a contest for a new sign off phrase. I’m thinking.. “until next time, keep eXploring”. Ha ha! Just kidding.

Enjoyable listen! I gave up on clickfest RTS a long time ago, though I still enjoy the slower moving ones.
One thing I have to ask – does Army Pea have a masochistic side? I’m not that great at Darkest Dungeon myself so I might not be the best judge of it, but it seems to me he is pushing us poor eXplorminate folks to the wall – we’re falling like flies!
I’m calling it now – the ‘last man standing’ will not be a grizzled adventurer standing victorious on a pile of vanquished demons! It will simply be the last poor soul to lose their will and mind to the horrors of that place — perhaps in their last fleeting moment of sanity the knowledge that they’ve won something shiny will be of some small comfort, but more likely just a sad irony.
And Mark, I think, will be giggling.
